If you are planning to start a food business in India, getting an FSSAI license is mandatory. FSSAI (Food Safety and Standards Authority of India) ensures that all food products sold in India meet safety and hygiene standards. Having an FSSAI license not only keeps your business legal but also builds trust among your customers.
What is FSSAI License?
An FSSAI license is a certification issued by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India. It is proof that your food business complies with all safety and hygiene regulations.
There are two main types:
- FSSAI Registration: For small food businesses with low turnover.
- FSSAI License: For medium and large food businesses, either at the state or central level.
