Step-by-Step Guide to Obtaining APEDA Certificate (RCMC)
1. Eligibility Check
Ensure your business entity (individual, firm, company, cooperative, etc.) is involved in exporting agricultural or processed food items specified under APEDA schedules.
2. Obtain IEC (Import-Export Code)
The IEC issued by DGFT is a prerequisite. You must have this before beginning the APEDA application.
3. Visit Official Platforms
Since July 17, 2023, APEDA issues RCMC via the DGFT’s e-RCMC portal. Visit the APEDA official site or directly navigate to the DGFT’s e-RCMC section under “Services.”
4. Start Registration
On APEDA’s homepage, click “Register as Member.”
Provide your IEC code, Email ID, and Mobile number, then submit. You will receive an OTP via both email and SMS—enter it to verify the details.
5. Complete Application & Upload Documents
Once OTP is verified, fill in the online application form, providing accurate business and product details. Upload required documents in JPEG, PDF, or PNG formats only
Required Documents may include:
- Duly signed application form
- IEC copy
- Bank certificate (signed by bank authority)
- Cancelled cheque(s)
- Recent bank account statements (usually last 2 months)
- Additional documents like partnership deed, certificate of incorporation, MOA/AOA, board resolution, etc., depending on your business structure.
6. Save and Edit (If Needed)
You can save your progress and edit the submitted details until the payment is made.
7. Pay Registration Fee
The registration fee is ₹5,000 (excluding taxes). Payment can be made via:
- Credit Card (MasterCard, Visa)
- Debit Card (MasterCard, Visa)
- Demand Draft in favor of "APEDA" (payable at specified centers)
Upon successful payment, an application number will be generated—save it for future reference.
8. Track Your Application
Use the “Track Application” option on the portal. You’ll need to enter your IEC and Application Number to view status updates or any missing document requests.
9. Approval and Certificate Issuance
Once APEDA reviews and approves your application, you'll receive the RCMC certificate. Login credentials (for APEDA portal) will be sent to your registered email, enabling you to download or access your certificate
10. Post-Registration Benefits
With RCMC in hand, you may access APEDA's schemes—financial aid, training, market promotion, brand development, and participation in trade fairs.
